Rome and its painters

Sunday afternoon.....walking among the painters of piazza Navona....It's always a pleasure to have a look at the work of the numerous artists who choose piazza Navona as their atelier...Love talking to them about their different techniques and observing them expressing their feeling through their paint brushes, pencils and colours....

This is Jacqueline, from the Netherlands, she moved to Rome two years ago...She makes beautiful water colours drawings

Rome water spells

A homage to water more than to the fountains of Rome I would say....Water: such a nice subject to portray...its light, the shapes it forms, the different colours it takes depending on the time of the day...I never get tired of trying to capture its magic....Just wanted to share these feelings with you!

August black and white shots

Rome in august....an empty town in very hot weather....Most of the romans are away on holiday and tourists can enjoy its fountains, and its peace while walking around its streets. I like portraying this atmosphere and observe how people enjoy simple pleasures of life

Just like Anita Ekberg.....different fountain though! Here at Pantheon

To Rome with love

Rome in August, when most of the locals are away on holidays, tourists enjoy the town and its atmosphere, its fountains, its light....

The water from this fountain, la Barcaccia, Piazza di Spagna (Spanish steps) is particularly fresh, really delicious in our tropical summer heat! it's the best water in town!! Everybody brings an empty water bottle to fill  here when thirsty!

Children have fun  drinking this water!

Just married couple, enjoying a romantic moment

....then walking around a little bit...

Another happy couple enjoying the town in August, at piazza Navona, at the Fountain of the Four Rivers
